Op-Ed Writing Workshop
This two-part webinar event will take place on Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, 2023 from 11:00 am EST - 12 noon EST. This event will be offered live via Zoom. Zoom link will be provided to registrants in advance of the event.
This presentation will give a model for writing powerful Op-Ed pieces so you can state your position and argument to diverse audiences and have a tool for thought leadership. Op-Ed pieces can help start conversations with people or organizations with whom you want to initiate or deepen a relationship. Paul Jensen will lead this workshop as it relates to cult-related topics.
Paul Jensen helps scientists and researchers become more effective communicators. He regularly leads training workshops for faculty and staff at leading academic institutions, companies and nonprofits. Paul has been helping clients write Op-Eds for major media outlets for more than 15 years, publishing articles in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, NBC, Fortune, Forbes, Reuters, the Guardian, Politico, The Hill, Health Affairs, STAT and many other outlets. From 2014 to 2020 he served on the executive management team of The Union, the world’s oldest global health organization, serving as head of policy and strategy. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Director of ACTION.org, a global network of health advocacy organizations supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Paul grew up in a high-demand church, the Assemblies of God, and delivered a talk titled The public can investigate: discovering the worst-kept secrets of my high-demand church at the 2023 ICSA international conference. He's passionate about fostering science literacy and helping shape a culture where everyone's freedom of conscience is guaranteed.
